1. have a soft spot for sb

soft spot指的是易受打動(dòng)之點(diǎn)，有點(diǎn)“軟肋”的意味。

have a soft spot for sb常指莫名其妙地“十分喜愛（某人）”。

She'd always had a soft spot for her younger nephew.

她一直很喜歡她的小侄子。

2. ride a wave

△肯尼斯是個(gè)億萬富翁，在創(chuàng)業(yè)浪潮中賺了很多錢。

ride (on) a wave of sth是個(gè)很形象的短語，表示“乘…之勢；借…的東風(fēng)”

3. upstage

①show your hand

Despite weeks of media speculation, the president refused to tip his hand about his plans for re-election.

盡管數(shù)周來媒體都在猜測，但總統(tǒng)拒絕透露爭取連任的計(jì)劃。
